My first 10 blog posts

God has set eternity in our hearts.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no once can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

We were born with the capacity to dream and imagine eternity.  Did you ever notice how easy it is for a child to believe in God or to understand there is a God?  But as we get older and life gives us plenty to be cynical and discouraged about, we stop dreaming, believing and imagining the amazing place God has in store for those who love him.

By the age of 19, I had already acquired the cynical and discouraged mindset.  I was pretty much fed up with this world and decided I was never going to have children because of how messed up it is.  I kept asking myself, “There has got to be more to life than what I’m seeing?”  From the outside it looked like I had a pretty good life.  I was in college studying music at Western Illinois University, and I was healthy, thin, pretty and productive. At this point I had not read the Bible yet, so my knowledge of God was solely based on the amazing intricacies of nature and the love I experienced from my family and others.  I remember my brother casually mentioning to me at this time that we are all one heartbeat away from eternity.  This comment along with my desperation to find meaning in life sparked a desire for me to learn about the God of the Bible.

I look forward to all the future blog posts I will submit on this site.  I have so much to share with the world about how to live with a heaven bound mindset, and I hope you’ll join me on this new creative journey I have started with this blog.]]>
